Brief introduction of Jinyu River
Shilongshan, a town of Baiyue, gets its name from a trail of limestone halfway up the hillside from northwest to southeast, which looks like a dragon and is about to lift its head into the air. There is a magical old legend in the mountain: Shilong immortals could not bear to see the people hungry because of drought, so they were determined to fly up and change Longji to adjust the wind and rain, finally let the people through the year of drought, and finally keep Shilong Town here to protect the people with favorable weather.
There is an ancient Taoist temple site in Shilong Mountain-Shilong Temple, located in the neck of Shilong, hidden in the hillside jungle, the environment is still filled with the smell of Daoguang, it is Shilong fairy, it is said to be the place where Shilong Immortals practice. Shilong Temple in Shilong Mountain has a history of 400 years. According to the inscription on the site, Shilong Temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty (1606) and was later destroyed by the war. Jiaqing was rebuilt in 1797. It was damaged many times and was destroyed after liberation. On the temple site, there is also an ancient cypress and a sweet-scented osmanthus tree with a breast diameter of 95cm, which is at least 300 years old.
